📋 About This Mod
A simple OAAB based overhaul of the entrance to the Andrano Ancestral Tomb. The Andranos are a fairly populous, still living clan, who can count the likes of Archcanons among their ancestors. And yet their tomb is just shoved into a small hill. And while that may be the standard for Ancestral Tombs in Morrowind it is, frankly, a bad standard. The Dunmer honour their ancestors absolutely, and yet their tombs, even for prominent families, barely have any more care than a mine, at least from the outside.
Currently, all this does is add a small entryway to the tomb with a little clutter (and a single urn). I do have plans to expand it a little more, but this is a nice, simple starting point.
Compatability
Believe it or not, but this probably won't work with anything that modifies the same area. However, the interior of the tomb is totally untouched, so any mods which mess with it should work just fine.Know Thy Ancestors is both compatible and recommended. All the more immersion after all!
This is my very first mod for Morrowind, so any constructive criticism or feedback would be greatly appreciated.
A small immersion mod that lightly overhauls the entrance of the Andrano tomb in Morrowind, adding details to suggest the Andrano family maintains the site. With 12 endorsements and over 1,000 downloads, it's a niche cosmetic touch for players who appreciate environmental storytelling.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Tiny download size and simple install—just drop it in your Data Files folder.
- Adds a touch of lore-friendly polish for players who notice environmental details.
- Active author (last updated 2023) and a modest but real following (12 endorsements).
⚠️ Cons
- Very niche—only affects one tomb entrance, so if you're not a Morrowind lore hound, you might not even notice it.
- No screenshots or detailed description, so you're flying blind on what exactly changes.
- Only 12 endorsements—could be a sign of limited testing, so watch for conflicts with other tomb overhauls.
For Morrowind players who love environmental storytelling and want every ancestral tomb to feel lived-in. If you're a completionist who explores every cave and ruin, this adds a small touch of realism. Skip if you want gameplay changes or major visual overhauls—this is purely cosmetic and very localized.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Since it's a simple mesh/texture replacer, just drop the files into your Morrowind Data Files folder and make sure it's checked in the launcher.
- If you use a mod manager like Wrye Mash or Mod Organizer 2, install it through that to keep your load order clean.
- Pair it with other tomb reworks or landscape overhauls for a more consistent look, but test for conflicts if you have multiple mods touching the same area.
