Slightly Overtuned LS Changes And Quality of Life

I am trying to grow a community around modding in my new Discord server. You can ask questions here about mods and get help troubleshooting.

First and foremost, this is a cheat. Please do not complain about how this is unfair or unbalanced. That is the point.

Higher MV's + Quality of Life changes to make the longsword less frustrating and capable of competing with more "meta" weapons for damage.

BACK UP YOUR SAVE

While there should be no reason this will corrupt or invalidate your save file, always back up your save before installing any mod that alters aspects such as this.

This is a mod that I worked with a buddy of mine who is an LS main to create. He wanted a LS mod that had 1 hit tenderize, 0 part break on spirit thrust, and MV buffs all combined. With that in mind, the mod could easily be considered cheating and it is advised to not use this in multiplayer unless you are playing with your friends that know you are a filthy, filthy modder.

It has long been know that certain weapons like the hunting horn, longsword, lance, and insect glaive simply don't do enough damage to justify their usage compared to weapons like bow, dual blades, greatsword, or bowgun. Few exceptions exist, such as KT or alatreon, where a longsword is actually somewhat competetive in terms of damage compared to better weapons. He wanted a LS mod that had 1 hit tenderize, 0 part break on spirit thrust, and MV buffs all combined. Motion value buff of 100% (15 to 30) would basically result 100% more damage from that move.

Added 1hit tenderize

Spirit thrust part modifier 1 to 0

Thrust MV increased from 12 to 16

Overhead slash 21 to 25

Step slash 24 to 28

Lateral and normal fade slash 22 to 30

Rising 18 to 22

Spirit roundslash 38 to 60

Aerial draw spirit blade 26 to 35

Spirit jumping slash (the 1 hit attack) 18 to 30

Overall dps increase for the LS

Super armor duration on successful foresight 1 to 2 seconds

guarantees your roundslash or roll away

IAI slash: 1st/2nd hit MV increased from 18/13 to 25/20

IAI spirit slash- MV's increased by about 50% for the first and second hit, with the same percentage increase in MV's across white/yellow/red gauge.
