MonsterGear

That's a simple program I made to help me find the best armor pieces for the skills I want.

Simply feed the skills/ranks you desire, the gem slots on your weapon, and MonsterGear will find the best armor sets that suit your needs (if any).

Limitations:

- If you ask for too many skills, MonsterGear won't find anything since no such armor exists in the game;

- If you ask for too few skills, there will be millions (if not billions) matches which MonsterGear cannot (and should not) display. If all you want is Flinch Free III, you don't need a gear planner for this. If there are too many results, add more skills to your request. The maximum number of results is set to 128.

Known issue:

I have too many results but when I add a single additional skill, I get no result at all. This is normal and expected. There are some combination of skills that yield thousands of results with no bonus score (no extra room for additional skills) so when you try to refine your request by adding another skill, there will be result. That's how the game works sorry.

Each time you add/remove a skill/rank, MonsterGear will have to loop over literally hundreds of billions of combinations. This can take several minutes if not hours. In order to prevent this, MonsterGear skips a lot of combinations early on to reduce computation. The more results that can be found, the less it can skip. So I had to limit the number of results. Why don't I just display what's already found instead of "too many results"? Because the 128 first armor sets found are not optimal and can most certainly be found manually.
