Semiauto-MMD to Wilds model converter

This tool is a Blender-based automation script designed to streamline the process of converting MMD (PMX/PMD) models into usable Monster Hunter Wilds appearance mods. It focuses on reducing repetitive manual work while keeping the workflow compatible with existing Wilds modding tools and tutorials.

The script integrates directly into Blender and works alongside commonly used plugins such as CATS Blender Plugin, RE Mesh Editor, and RE Chain Editor. It automates several core steps that are normally done by hand, including MMD bone renaming to Monster Hunter Wilds skeleton conventions, basic pose correction, scale adjustment to match hunter proportions, and detection of common physics bone chains such as hair and skirts.

For physics setup, the tool can automatically generate Chain2 physics data using RE Chain Editor, including basic collision capsules for the head and legs. This helps prevent common issues like excessive clipping or non-functional physics, while still allowing users to fine-tune results manually if needed.

Texture preparation is partially automated through an optional external Python script, which can generate EMI (emissive) and ATOS (transparency) textures commonly required for anime-style models in Wilds. The script applies conservative default adjustments to avoid over-bright emissive materials and extracts transparency data from alpha channels when available.

The tool does not aim to fully replace manual work. Final pose adjustments, detailed physics tuning, material setup in MDF files, and packaging are intentionally left to the user, as these steps vary greatly between models. Instead, the goal is to provide a reliable starting point that follows established community workflows and tutorials, allowing creators to focus on refinement rather than setup.
