Monster Roar Change by Blacktuna13

We are changing the roars of certain large monsters.

Current changes:

Rathian / Rathalos, Seregios, G. Fluger Anjanath, G. Rathalos, Lagiacrus

Rathian / Rathalos:

We will replace the roars that changed again in MHWilds with unique roars created by combining elements from roars in MHXX and earlier versions, as well as MHW.

* Since Rathian and Rathalos share the same roar file, it is not possible to implement changes for only one of them or to replace the sound source for just one of them with a different roar. This is impossible due to the game’s specifications.

Seregios:

This mod replaces the distinctive “pyo-ro-ro-ro-ro~” roar—which undergoes another voice change in MHWilds and is widely considered unpleasant—with the roar from MHRise: Sunbreak.

I believe this will significantly reduce the unpleasantness of the sound.

◆Changes and Updates in v1. 1

I identified the sections where the “Pyororororo~” sound plays and replaced them with roars from the Rise: Sunbreak bind voice pack that I felt were more appropriate.

For those who prefer to keep the original Sunbreak bind voices, I’ve made v1. 0 available for download as well, but the two versions cannot be used together. Please install only one of them.

G. Fluger Anjanath:

Of the two roar sound effects, one will be replaced with the distinctive, rumbling roar from MHWorld: Iceborne that plays when it’s fully charged.

G. Rathalos:

I’ll replace the roar with a custom version created by mixing the Guardian’s unique additional roar with the Rathalos roar mentioned above.

I replaced the ones that had been overlooked and were still using the vanilla bind voice. With this, all roars—including the bind voices—should now use the mod's custom voices.

Lagiacrus:

I've replaced the three roars used in Bind Voice.

There are two versions: the original MH3 (tri-) version and a version I recreated by mixing elements from MH3 and MHWilds. Please install only one of them.

The modification to Lagiacrus's roar is based on my own Lagiacrus's Roar Change Mod. The version uploaded as of July 2026 contains the same content as what I had previously posted on the Lagiacrus's Roar Change Mod page.
