MHWilds Corrupt Save Fixer

This script is meant to be used with the MH Wilds Save Editor to recover corrupted saves. Most corrupted saves have the same problem where the things like quest data are corrupted (usually only in slot 2 and 3), this script tries to recover data from each slot.

INSTRUCTIONS:

• []MAKE BACKUPS OF YOUR CURRENT SAVE IF YOU HAVE ONE PLEASE

  []Download this mod

  []Download the most recent MH Wilds Save Editor from nexus or github

  []Unzip the save editor

  []Unzip this mod

  []Move the files fix_user_read_with_rsz.lua and fix_user_with_scan.lua from this mod into the directory /path/to/save editor/scripts/

  []Move the file empty_user_save.bin into the directory /path/to/save editor/assets/mhwilds/

  []Launch the save editor (mhtame-gui.exe)

  []Click on File > Run Script > scripts/fix_user_read_with_rsz.lua in the editor (you can also run fix_user_with_scan.lua but I think it's less reliable)

  []The script will now be running and prompt your for your steamid (steamid64, the steam account the save was originally on)

  []Then select the corrupted save file

  []Then select a file to save the corrupted save file to

  []Move the newly saved/fixed file to the steam user data folder path/to/steam/userdata/<your_short_user_id/steamid32>/2246340/remote/win64_save/data001Slot.bin

  []Launch the game

  If this does not work, please send me the saves AND your steamid on github.com/kvasszn/mhtame through an issue or on nexus mods through the messenger and I will try to look at your corrupt save and potentially create a fix for it.
