Crosshair Settings

Default turns off crosshair for melee weapons when entering focus mode and for the slinger when no ammo is loaded.

Several settings available through a REFramework UI.

It is easiest to find your preference when adjusting with the crosshair visible.

Different settings for the center or dots around it.

Slinger gets separate settings for loaded not loaded and capture net

Ranged Crosshairs can also be adjusted, though bow can only be turned on or off.

There is also an optional file crosshair_dot that replaces the graphics of the slinger with just the center dot.

REFramework is required

Installation

Like other REFramework mods, you should place all the files in the game installation directory.

The final path should look like this:

MonsterHunterWilds/reframework/autorun/no_focus_crosshair.lua

The crosshair_dot file contains a re_chunk_000.pak.sub_000.pak.patch_003.pak that should be in the MonsterHunterWilds/ folder.

This may conflict with other mods that also contain a file of this name!

Resolving such a conflict requires renaming either file to re_chunk_000.pak.sub_000.pak.patch_004.pak

Larger patches of the game, such as the title update one might also create a file with this name and create problems.

For Title update one the mod was updated with a rename of the file from patch_002 to patch 003. Reinstalling the mod might be required, make sure not to overwrite any game files.

The modinfo.ini and cover.png files are not necessary for the mods to function, they are used by the fluffy mod manager

Which would also handle the renaming conflicting .pak files.

Fluffy Mod Manager is required if using Vortex.
