MiSide - Romanian Localisation

This is the first-ever Romanian translation for MiSide. It's now outdated — there's no need to use it anymore.

Why this exists:

When MiSide first launched, there was no Romanian translation. So I made one; the first full Romanian translation for the game, released four days before the official studio localization.

How it was made:

To fit the whole translation into about a week instead of the usual months-long process, I built a pipeline using DeepL and Gemini APIs, then went through it manually:

• []Checked every line by hand to catch broken strings, leftover filenames, and translation errors.[/]

  []Rewrote awkward machine-translated dialogue for natural grammar and tone, and adapted jokes/idioms for a Romanian audience.[/]

  []Made sure nothing broke the game's script formatting or caused crashes/UI clipping.[/]

  []Edited the game's texture files directly in Krita to replace baked-in English text with Romanian, while keeping the original art style and color intact.[/]

I previously shared some thoughts on the official Romanian translation that eventually got added to the game. Even though I think it still has some rough edges, I respect what the two people behind it managed to do; something I couldn't pull off myself.

I reached out to one of them and talked about their translation. There are some behind-the-scenes issues causing the current problems, but they're working on fixing them. I'll keep helping with feedback where I can.

What I originally wanted to do isn't really possible within their version, but MiSide having official Romanian support is what matters most. Congrats to them for making it happen; hope the remaining issues get sorted soon.
