Seamless Glowing Ores

Every ore in the game glows in the dark. Touching ore of the same type joins into one outlined shape, even when it is sitting in different kinds of stone.

## Two files, pick one

## One dependency, every loader

This pack needs [Fusion](https://modrinth.com/mod/fusion-connected-textures) 1. 3. 0 or newer, and nothing else.

Packs like this normally want OptiFine, or Continuity, and on NeoForge they ask you to stack Sinytra Connector and a compatibility layer on top. Those chains break often, and on the newest versions some of those mods do not exist at all.

Fusion covers Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt with no Sodium, no Fabric API and no bridge mods. Install Fusion, drop the pack in, done.

## What it covers

520 blocks. Every vanilla ore including the deepslate and Nether ones, all 308 blocks from (https://modrinth.com/mod/seamless-ores), Create's zinc, every ore from (https://modrinth.com/mod/mythic-upgrades) and (https://modrinth.com/mod/mythicmetals), and twelve more mods:

Silent's Gems, Mekanism, Dense Mekanism, Powah, Silent Gear, Create: The Factory Must Grow, Create: New Age, Energized Power, Exp Ores, Ice and Fire, Things and Meadow.

Every one of them was read out of the mod itself, so each ore gets exactly the stones it really generates in, and nothing is covered that the mod does not ship.

Meadow's limestone ores use the vanilla artwork and connect to ordinary stone and deepslate ores of the same type, so a vein running from stone into limestone is one outlined shape.

Ore tiers outline as one deposit. Mekanism and Dense Mekanism keep their own artwork but share an outline, and Powah's three uraninite grades read as one body rather than three ores.

Ores in different dimensions stay apart. Silent's Gems has a form of nearly every gem in stone, netherrack and end stone, and each is its own shape.

Stormyx, unobtainium and chaos glow in motion. They animate in their own mods, so their glow animates with them, in step and at the same rate.

Ancient debris glows as a whole block rather than getting an outline, because its texture is its own artwork rather than stone with ore blobs painted on it.

Anything you do not have installed is simply skipped, so the pack works on its own with no mods beyond Fusion.

## One file, every version

There is a single download per style, covering Minecraft 1. 20 and up. The pack contains no code, so one file serves every version in that range, and blocks that do not exist on yours are skipped along with the mods you do not have.

## Ore connects across different stones

An iron vein running out of stone and into granite is two completely different blocks as far as the game is concerned, and most connected texture packs can only join a block to itself. That leaves a hard line down the middle of the vein.

Here they count as one ore body and share a single outline, in all three dimensions. Ore stacked above and below joins up exactly like ore beside it.

## It does not overwrite your other packs

The glow is added as a layer on top of each ore rather than replacing its texture, so every ore keeps its own artwork and anything else you have installed still shows through underneath.

354 KB for the bordered version, covering 520 blocks. Each ore ships as a single image, where comparable packs use thousands of files for the same result.

## Common questions

Do I need the Seamless Ores mod? No. All vanilla ores are covered on their own. The mod adds 308 more blocks for the pack to cover, and is what lets ore connect across different host stones.

Can I use it with OptiFine or Continuity? No, this pack is built for Fusion. Fusion covers every loader those two do, and more.

Fusion says it needs a newer Forge on 1. 21. 11. Update Forge rather than downgrading Fusion. Fusion requires Forge 61. 1. 16 or newer there, because an older Forge bug crashed the game when terrain particles were created. Some launchers have not caught up: the Modrinth app currently stops at 61. 1. 5, while the CurseForge app offers 61. 2. 0, which is Forge's own recommended build.

Can I use it on an older version? 1. 20.x works, and Forge and NeoForge there need nothing extra. Older than 1. 20 the pack loads but is not supported.

Fabric 1. 20.x is the one awkward case. Sodium did not implement the Fabric Rendering API until 0. 6, which never shipped for 1. 20. 1, so the glow needs (https://modrinth.com/mod/indium) there. Without it the outlines and overlays still appear, they just do not light up. With it they light up, but thin lines can flicker on ore faces. Removing Sodium fixes the flicker and keeps the glow, at the cost of shaders. This has been traced to Sodium and Indium rather than to this pack or to Fusion, it
