# Overview !(https://i.imgur.com/ShYVJTN.png) The British Rail Class 800 is a bi-mode multiple unit (electric and diesel) built by Hitachi Rail as part of the AT300 family. Manufactured between 2014 and 2018 at Hitachi’s facilities in Kasado, Japan, and Newton Aycliffe, England, the Class 800 units were introduced under the Intercity Express Programme (IEP) to replace the aging HST fleet. First entering service with Great Western Railway (GWR) in October 2017, and later with London North Eastern Railway (LNER) as the “Azuma,” the Class 800 represents a new generation of high-speed intercity trains in the United Kingdom. The trains are capable of operating both on 25 kV AC overhead lines and diesel engines on non-electrified sections, providing maximum route flexibility. Each 5-car set measures approximately 129.7 m in length, while 9-car formations reach 233.7 m. The lightweight aluminium body construction contributes to improved efficiency and performance. The Class 800 has a maximum operating speed of 125 mph (200 km/h). Built to meet modern passenger standards, the Class 800 offers a mix of First and Standard Class seating, Wi-Fi, at-seat power sockets, and accessible toilets. The train’s design prioritizes comfort, reliability, and reduced environmental impact. ## Class 800 in Minecraft (MTR Mod) This resource pack adds the Hitachi Class 800 to Minecraft using the Minecraft Transit Railway (MTR) mod. The model was created by cw_315 for Transport Fever 2 and ported to Minecraft by Vitor2005 in 2025. It is fully compatible with MTR4.
