Connected Bookshelves is a pack, that, you guessed it, makes bookshelves connect to each other, just like in OptiFine! Want to know the best part? NO CUSTOM TEXTURES ARE USED!
However, this vanilla way of doing it has an issue. They won't connect only to bookshelves. Instead, they will connect to ANY solid block. There is no way to prevent it, but that's the best i can do within the vanilla limits.
