📋 About This Mod
**IF YOU ARE USING VERSIONS BELOW 1.21 (Otherwise, ignore)**: Requires the mod (https://optifine.net/home) or (https://modrinth.com/mod/cit-resewn) if you are using (https://fabricmc.net/). **This Pack Adds**: - Custom Animated 3D Tool **Texture Pack Detail**: - **Armadillo Drill** (Rename _any_ vanilla **Pickaxe** item) Oh, boy! Prepare yourself for the story on how this came be because it was a headache to say the least, I started looking for inspiration in other forms of media that weren't movies or the (https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/create) mod. I looked to other video games like (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fallout_(franchise)) and for this model specifically: (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ark:_Survival_Evolved). Now by itself, Ark doesn't have any steampunk elements or weapons. However, mods do. I found a mod that gives (https://steampunkmod.com/) weapons and tools along with other utilities. Based on screenshots I got some good inspiration for the model, specifically the drill from this screenshot... !(https://merric-gaming.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2021/05/Steampunk-Drill-1400x1000.jpg.webp) I loved the style and aesthetic and thought I would recreate it. After trial and error, I ended up something that resembled the drill in the game, but I wasn't satisfied. It didn't feel like Minecraft, nor did it look like something that would belong in Minecraft. I went back to researching and that's when I honestly gave up. I couldn't find anything that I liked, during this time I got a request for an (https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/origins) that was based on an (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Armadillo). I looked online to see what they were because I was curious, then I saw this photo of its skeleton curled into a ball and that's when I got an idea: "what if I encased the hand?" !(https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/f/fb/Three_Banded_Armadillo.jpg) I started looking for some inspiration and I stumbled upon this obscure figure but if you look at the drill hand, that's what I was going off. !(https://files.cults3d.com/uploaders/17295702/illustration-file/f56b3f23-df05-4da8-9406-fe6d2f527e24/big_daddy.jpg) I wanted it to look like it was part of the hand or at least encasing it in such a way that it would look heavy but portable. I picked a color palette that would fit the other steampunk items I've made for consistency. I had to learn how to animate blocks for this one and even then, I was struggling. But it turned out not bad I would say. I hope you guys like it, I spend way too much time researching and learning how to animate only to realize I still don't even know how. 😭 I really need some sleep...
