📋 About This Mod

# MedievalPlus MedievalPlus is a plugin that adds new gameplay mechanics to Minecraft Vanilla. The most prominent feature is the addition of **Forgeries**. This allows players to change the stats or behaviour of their weapons. Additionally, this also includes some Quality of Life Items, as well as new **Mob Variants** using those Forgeries. ## Forgeries Forgeries are a new addition that allow players to further customize their weapons or bring out their potential. Players can obtain Forgery Templates through various means, which they then can use inside the smithing table to **forge** their weapons. Forgeries range from mixing up stats like attack damage and speed to adding subtle new mechanics. !(https://cdn.modrinth.com/data/cached_images/2e42fc15ed18f7dbd8a0483375dd649331a69adc.png) If you ever feel lost, check out the ForgeryGuide via **/mpguide**! Go for a **Greatsword** if you want one shot potential with big slow hits or abuse a **Dagger** to stagger mobs with your fast attack speed.
### Axe Forgeries These turn your axe from a tool to a **real weapon**. Tools forged into weapons will lose 1 durability in combat but 2 for using them as tools, reversing the original process. Similarly to swords, axes feature slow heavy hits as well as fast paced forgeries. ### Scythe Forgeries These are kinda special as they do not only turn the hoe from tool to weapon, they also include a new mechanic. When hitting an entity while fully drawing the scythe it will create an arc-shaped swing that deals full damage across. Scythes come in 2 variants, the **Large Scythe** similar to an axe and the **Chain Scythe** having way higher attack speed with less damage per hit. !(https://i.imgur.com/8XByZtw.gif) ### Pickaxe Forgeries Forgeries for your pickaxe are a cut above the rest. The **GreatHammer** does slow heavy hits; however, it also allows for players to add breach onto it! Armored foes are not gonna like this one... - Furthermore, the **Pick** is unique in itself as while being a better weapon than a regular pickaxe, trades dps for additional mining efficiency, which is huge for mining trips before efficiency V! ### Shield Forgeries Why forge only weapons? All three Shield Forgeries are very distinct with each their own little gimmick. The **Heavy Shield** makes enemies or projectiles hitting the shield bounce back enormously. The **Short Shield** can be raised instantly but will let a portion of damage go through. Last but not least, the **Spiked Shield** will reflect a portion of damage back onto melee attackers! !(https://i.imgur.com/4M9teqE.gif) !(https://cdn.modrinth.com/data/cached_images/978ad051b06f43dfd88c6f843acb4de0cd5a0265.png) ### Lance Forgeries Similar to the scythe, these come with a new mechanic. When attacking with a lance at full charge the attack turns into an percing hit with more attack range. This can be used to stab multiple mobs at once from even larger distances. Comes in 3 iterations: **Short Lance**, **Lance**, **Heavy Lance**. Mobs equipped with lances will also make use of the piercing hit, when comgin close to the player they will halt before unleashing the stab at full range. ### Trident Forgeries The trident has always been a niche weapon. The **Harpoon** changes this a bit by giving the thrown trident enough damage to one shot regular mobs, while also being thrown at a higher speed and increasing loyalty further. On the contrary, the **Hellfork** introduces another niche by increasding the damage dealt by the trident while inside the nether. ### Mageblade Forgeries Offer a unique twist on swords, while still being used on them offer to trade dps for a elemental mechanic. **Fireblade:** Acts like +1 level to fire aspect, burning targets even longer, when hitting a target already on fire, deal bonus fire damage and nearby targets are either lit or also take the bonus damage. Trades dps numbers for sustained fire damage and AoE burst potential. **Iceblade:** Each hit applies freezing to the target until it is completely frozen like trapped in powder snow. While it comes with low attack speed, the freeze can be powerful to stop opponents in their path. **Poisonblade:** Every hit applies a short burst of Poison II. While this is rendered ineffective when dealing against undead it can be quite handy in PvP or
