# Trim Upgrade: Core Turn vanilla armor trims into a real progression and combat system. Trim Upgrade: Core expands Minecraft's vanilla armor trim system by giving each trim its own gameplay identity. Trims are no longer just cosmetic. They now provide per-piece bonuses, full set effects, active skills, and upgrade progression. With the Trim Upgrade Table, upgrade gems, and special materials, you can enhance trimmed armor and build around different combat styles, mobility options, defensive setups, and utility-focused loadouts. ## Features - Every vanilla armor trim has unique gameplay effects - Per-piece bonuses and full set bonuses - Active skills for selected trim sets - Upgradeable trim levels through the Trim Upgrade Table - New progression materials such as Magic Crystals, Upgrade Gems, and Miracle Crystals - Additional recipes, loot changes, villager trades, and world content integration - Preserves vanilla trim themes while making each trim feel mechanically distinct ## Gameplay Focus This mod is designed for players who want armor trims to matter beyond appearance. Different trims support different playstyles: - mobility and burst - defense and survival - crowd control and utility - exploration and environmental adaptation Instead of choosing a trim only for visuals, you can now choose one for your build. ## Progression Upgrade your trimmed armor step by step: - find or obtain trim templates - craft or collect upgrade materials - charge the Trim Upgrade Table - strengthen your armor trims to higher levels - unlock stronger effects and better set performance ## Notes This mod focuses on expanding the vanilla trim system rather than replacing it. The goal is to make trims feel like a meaningful part of survival progression while keeping their original identity intact. ## Special Notice - **Current integrations** - **JEI** support is included (recipe/category display for the Trim Upgrade Table). - **Dependencies by version** - **v1.1.2+**: **GeckoLib is required** (`geckolib` **4.4.9 or newer**). - **All supported versions**: Minecraft **1.20.1** + Forge **47.x**. - **Important** - If you are updating from an older version, make sure to add GeckoLib to the `mods` folder on both **client and server**.
