These mysterious phenomena spawn naturally and each has unique physics-defying effects that challenge normal gameplay. Discover, research, and harness these anomalies through a comprehensive research system to unlock advanced technologies. ## Getting Started Welcome to **Strange Matter**, a mod about studying, harnessing, and experimenting with reality-warping anomalies. Your journey begins with three essential tools of anomaly research: ### Field Scanner The **Field Scanner** is your primary exploration tool. Use it to **scan anomalies** found throughout the world to gather **Research Points**. Each anomaly type yields unique data, so explore carefully—and be mindful of their effects. ### Research Tablet Once you’ve gathered Research Points, open your **Research Tablet** to spend them on **Research Notes**. These notes represent your growing understanding of anomalous phenomena and unlock new discoveries and crafting opportunities. ### Research Machine Place your **Research Notes** into the **Research Machine** to **finalize your studies** and unlock new technologies. This process allows you to craft advanced anomaly-related devices, machinery, and containment tools. > Tip: Each anomaly type leads to a unique branch of research.
