Simple Resources

Simple resources is a very small mod that adds extra ways to acquire a few resources that I thought shouldn't be so rare for what they are; namely leather salvaging, string crafting, a few dye mixes, wooden buckets and a couple extra QoL recipe additions. LEATHER SALVAGING: A flint knife can be used to salvage a small amount of usable hide scrap from rotten flesh and rabbit's foot, which can then be crafted into leather using four. Additionally, all leather gear including saddles and horse armor are able to be broken down to salvage most of their leather using the knife. STRING WEAVING: This mod allows wool to be broken down into string, as well as condensing carpets back into wool blocks. On top of this, vines can now be used to craft small amounts of string, which applies to overworld vines and both vanilla nether vines. DYE MIXING: Common dyes can now be mixed to create their respective results that happen to be kinda rare, namely lime and brown dye. Additionally, coal and charcoal can make black dye so you don't have to terrorize the aquatic ecosystem when you need it. WOODEN BUCKETS: Wooden buckets function exactly as iron buckets; only they cannot hold lava. They're a good first-day source of water and snow transport if you can't spare the iron yet. OTHER QoL RECIPES: Leads can be made using five leather, and slimeballs can be made from clay balls, honeycomb, lime green dye and wheat. Wheat can be crafted with the new salt and a water bucket to create wafer dough, which can then be smoked into field wafers, a new food that's slightly more filling than bread. More could be added in the future but for the most part I'm planning to focus on bug fixing and balancing, as I want to impact minecraft's actual progression as little as possible.
