Keys Locks Give your doors and chests a real key , not a redstone puzzle. Keys Locks adds personal locks: a door or chest bonds to the one key that keys it, and after that only a matching key opens it — no master keys, no universal picks, no vanilla lever bypass. How it works Craft a Key Blank — a plain, codeless blank. Bring it to the Key Cutting Bench and cut it: dial a 4-digit code on the arrow buttons (or copy the code straight off an existing key by dropping it in the template slot) and give the new key a name. Place a locked door or a locked chest. Fresh out of the box it's unkeyed and opens like a normal one. Sneak + right-click it with your freshly cut key. That's it — the lock is now bonded to that key's code, permanently . There's no re-keying; if you lose the key, the only way to reset the lock is to break the block and place a new one. From then on, only a key with the matching code opens it. Anyone else gets a locked sound and an action-bar message — redstone, hoppers-on-doors, villagers, none of it gets through either. What's inside 4 door tiers — iron, diamond-reinforced iron, netherite-reinforced iron, and obsidian doors, each available in a locked or unlocked variant, each tougher (and slower) to break than the last. Locked chests and locked trapped chests — built from a vanilla chest/trapped chest plus a Lock item. Double chests are supported; a merged locked chest shows a single padlock on the shared latch, and its merge state freezes the moment it's keyed. Named, coded keys — every key carries a 4-digit code and a name you choose. The name shows up in your inventory and flashes over the hotbar when you pick the key up; the code itself stays hidden unless you turn on advanced tooltips (F3+H), just like a real key doesn't wear its cuts on a label. Key Cutting Bench — an anvil-style GUI: dial a code by hand for a fresh lock, or drop an existing key in as a template to stamp out a spare with the same code (and a name of your choosing) without ever touching the original. Why Vanilla Minecraft has no real answer to "this is my stuff, and only my key opens it." Keys Locks is built around one rule: a lock bonds to the first matching key it meets, and stays bonded forever. No duplicating access with a lever, no picking with a matching-tier tool, no accidental villager or piston bypass — if you don't have the key, you're not getting in without breaking the block down.
