# Raw Ore Pellets This mod adds three new items: **Raw Copper Pellet**, **Raw Iron Pellet**, and **Raw Gold Pellet**. These items function as the equivalent of nuggets for raw ores. !(https://cdn.modrinth.com/data/cached_images/e3597ec50d76a09e156721b1245050ac4bb9f6a1.png) ## Mining changes: **Ore blocks no longer always drop raw ores** - The drops depend on the tool used: - Lower-tier tools (e.g. stone pickaxe) drop a small number of pellets - Higher-tier tools increase the amount of pellets dropped - Diamond pickaxes and above drop raw iron and raw gold as in vanilla - Copper pickaxes and above drop one raw copper. Copper is limited to a maximum of one raw copper per ore block (same rule as iron or gold). ## Smelting: - Pellets can be smelted into their corresponding nuggets - Raw ore blocks can be smelted directly into their corresponding metal blocks - Smelting times are adjusted to remain consistent with vanilla balance ## Purpose: - Gives a purpose to copper tools by making iron rarer only during the early game - Makes early-game mining less efficient than mid/late-game - Preserves vanilla behavior for high-tier tools - Reduces the amount of copper obtained from mining to a reasonable value
