You can no longer hurt your own pets by accident.

That sword sweep that killed your wolf mid-fight. The arrow that hit your cat instead of the skeleton. The splash potion that caught your parrot. Pet Shield cancels all of it — your tamed animals are safe from you.

## Features

• 🐺 Protects your tamed pets from their owner: melee hits (including sword sweep), projectiles (arrows, tridents) and harmful thrown potions
• 🐴 Covers all ownable animals: wolves, cats, parrots, horses, donkeys, mules, llamas — and modded animals that extend vanilla taming
• 🤫 Sneak to bypass: crouch while attacking to hit your pet on purpose (configurable)
• 🧍 Optional mode: protect pets from all players, not just the owner
• ⚙️ Full in-game config screen (Cloth Config) + entity blacklist
• 🖥️ Server-friendly: install it only on the server — vanilla clients can join normally. Ops can hot-reload the config with `/petshield reload` (no restart)

## Configuration

Singleplayer / clients: Mods → Pet Shield → Config (via ModMenu on Fabric). Every option applies instantly.

Dedicated servers: edit `config/pet_shield.json`, then run `/petshield reload` (op level 2). Options: `protectFromMelee`, `protectFromProjectiles`, `protectFromPotions`, `allowSneakBypass`, `protectFromAllPlayers`, `entityBlacklist`.
