# Natural Sponge > **Bring a more natural way to obtain sponges into your world.** ## Overview Natural Sponge adds a new, lore-friendly way to obtain sponges in Minecraft. Instead of relying solely on rare structures, sponges can now be discovered naturally in **Warm Ocean biomes** — in the form of **Dead Sponges**.
