Using a mod allows **support for custom resource packs features** - meaning you can still change item models and the glint texture via resource packs, and it'll still work (see gallery). It will even work with **items that are added by other mods**, so long as they don't handle their own rendering. ### Does it work with Sodium? **Yes!** Despite Sodium changing a lot of the Minecraft rendering code, the mod should still work in such a way that Sodium's changes won't affect it (check compatibility in the specific version page before downloading). _However_ the mod still changes rendering, so it might conflict with other mods that dramatically change rendering, such as shaders.
