Echoes of the Void

Echoes of the Void is a mod project I have been hobbying over since the advent of MC 1. 14, though only recently have my dreams proven any real fruit. It is, in a way, a world building project of mine.

# Reasons for and against this mod: For the builders and explorers, the Void has vast expanses of building space, both horizontally and vertically, and many building blocks to go with it and secrets to find.

For the casual survivalists, however, resources are sparse, it's always dark, and travel is not easy.

# Features in this mod: Adds a totally new dimension to Minecraft - The Void.

The Void is a large dark expanse with no skylight, and has sparse floating islands with rare vegetation.

The Void has a building limit of ±1280, two and a half kilometers from top to bottom.

There are 7 biomes, seperated into regions: 4 stone-type regions, and 2 forests for each region.

Adds has a full suite of tools and armor, with 10 new ores that spawn in the Void, and 3 new ores that spawn in the nether, and 3 new ores that spawn in the overworld.

There are over 230 new building blocks to be obtained within the Void dimension, including stones, woods, ores, and various light sources to light your way.

In the Void there are also barren villages to be found, as well as a wide array of other small ruins and secret structures floating in the black, ruins of an older age.

# CRITICAL INFO The Void is not potato-friendly! A good computer is needed for a smooth experience! I've done my best so far, but the sheer scale is taxing, and my code is not optimized yet!
