# Vulkanite
Vulkanite is a modpack based on the excellent mod Vulkan Renderer.
The goal is to give the most performance and to have the best experience in Minecraft while staying close to Vanilla. # How does the modpack work?
Using the Vulkan Renderer mod changes the rendering from OpenGL 3. 3+ to Vulkan 1. 3. This allows the average Minecraft player to play with a very high framerate while taking advantage of their own hardware.
This modpack is approved by xCollateral, the developer of the mod at its core : Vulkan Renderer.
This modpack should run on Windows without any problems and run on Linux pretty much equally good. This modpack doesn't work on Mac OS X.
