# IMPORTANT On the images in the gallery you see a lot of players wearing a banner on their head instead of a helmet. this datapack is completely compatible with helmets. as soon as you enter a ship while wearing a helmet, it will get safely stored. Once you exit the ship, helmet will be placed back onto your head. # Ships&Sails The **Ships&Sails** datapack adds different types of custom ships to your world to enjoy. Transport your stuff, explore the world and battle your friends with this action packed datapack. # Notes - The item replacement system taking care of the helmets and sails works mostly as expected, but putting on a helmet while in a custom boat deletes that helmet, so please refrain from doing so. # Description ## Custom Ships Five different custom boats and ships are added with this datapack. all these vessels offer their own unique advantage. Every ship and boat can be crafted with every wood type. ### Fishing Boat The fishing boat is a weaker vessel which allows you to catch more fish. The amount of fish caught while using a fishing boat is 200%, and this increases to 300% if you fish in a warm ocean. ### Cargo Ship The cargo ship functions mostly the same compared to regular chest boats, except that this one is more durable. The cargo ship is the only vessel which is able to withstand thunderstorms. ### Ice Breaker The ice breaker is a useful ship when traveling through the coldest parts of your world. The ice breaker ploughs through all ice types, Removing it as a challenge when traversing frozen oceans. ### Scouting Ship The scouting ship is a ship which allows you to climb into the crows nest by standing on top of it and holding sneak, giving you a birds eye view of your world. (note: This only works when there is enough space available above the ship.) ### Battleship The battleship is the true master of the sea. This beast allows you to fire off powerful cannonballs causing destruction to everything in its path. ## Weather The weather in minecraft can be unpredictable, but when a thunderstorm starts, it might be worth it to stay on the shore, as all vessels can sink during storms, except for the cargo ship, which is made for this weather. ## Cannonball The cannonball is the ammo which you can use in the battleship. It is crafted with four iron ingots and one gunpowder. You also need the cannonball to craft a battleship. ## Anchor The anchor is a craftable item that allows you to lock your boat so only you can use it, preventing it from being stolen. The following command allows you to lock your boat while holding an anchor and standing on top of your vessel: ``` /trigger anchor ``` ## Lockpicking Although locking your boat seems like a foolproof way to protect your ships, this is not exactly the case. You can try to lockpick a ship by throwing a pickaxe onto a ship. This uses up the pickaxe, and the better the pickaxe, the more chance you have to successfully remove the anchor. ## Custom sails **Ships&Sails** allows for great customisation of your ships. You can choose your own sail design using the following command while holding a banner: ``` /trigger sail ``` ## Repairing Your ship can get damaged by battle, but no worries, because you can repair your ship. throw a stick, any kind of wooden planks and an iron nugget onto your boat and it will slightly repair it. Repeat this to make your boat look as good as new! ## Nerfed Vanilla Boats The vanilla boat and chest boat have been nerfed to make the use of custom ships and boats more preferable. While using a vanilla boat or chest boat restricts you from shooting arrows, and their health is much lower. ## Dismantling Ships Custom ships cannot be removed by simply punching them. In order to dismantle a custom ship, you just throw an axe on your ship. This works on any ship which belongs to you or is unlocked, so make sure to use an anchor, so make sure to use an anchor to prevent other players from dismantling your ship! ## Shipwrecks When a boat is sunk, the shipwreck will stay at the bottom. The shipwreck can be be removed with an axe just like before, or you can try to salvage it and make it a unique piece of history of your world! ## Advancements **Ships&Sails** adds brand new advancements which you can try to complete to master the seas! # Technical Information - Every player gets a unique id and a unique armor stand to keep track of their helmet and sail. By default, this armor stand spawns in the spawn chunks. No worries if you change your spawnchunks, because the chunk they are in is forceloaded. - If you ever want to uninstall the datapack, please first run the following command: ```/function ships:uninstall```
