# Nerfed Keep Inventory Ever thought the vanilla keep inventory gamerule was a bit _too_ forgiving? This data pack adds small punishments for dying, whilst avoiding being as extreme as regular Minecraft with keepInventory disabled. Effects after respawning: - Briefly receive the hunger effect, usually **losing about half of the hunger bar**. - **Lose some XP** on death, with **the amount lost increasing at higher levels** before death. - The remaining XP after death can never be higher than level 30. Additionally, loading the data pack will automatically enable keep inventory.
