📋 About This Mod
This datapack adds a wide variety of **powerful magical weapons** and **staves** into the game, alongside two new classes of melee weapons and two **powerful ranged weapons**! I wanted to add more variety to the weapons that already exist in Minecraft, while still allowing the existing weapons to stay powerful and reliable! Legendary weapons 2.0 adds some new staves, some new magical weapons, a neat and tidy recipe/crafting system as well as a complete refactor, rebalance and polish of all weapons and staves previously in the pack! My intention is to finish what Mojang started when they added **Tridents** and **Maces** to the game. Both weapons are super fun and interesting, but right now it feels like there's a small selection of "Legendary weapons". None of the weapons are found, and all are crafted. The second image shows the crafting recipes for each weapon. Thanks to 1.21.5's new and improved item system, they have their own recipes and can be crafted just like any other item! **Recipes** are usually unlocked by picking up a material used to craft the item, however a few items require killing certain enemies etc instead. **Magical abilities** (right clicking) can be used on many of the weapons and all of the staves. This will consume some **XP**, depending on how powerful the ability is. There are some exceptions. For example, the **Wither Scythe** causes the user to sacrifice some of their own **health** instead of using **XP**. **Hammers** will actually slow the player's movement speed slightly, and take even longer to swing than axes. However, they deal massive damage and can be enchanted like a sword. **Daggers** are incredibly fast and can parry attacks (although much worse than a shield), only slightly slower than fists and can be enchanted like a sword. However, they deal a lot less damage! **Magical staves** and weapons do not lose durability when using their right click abilities. It instead costs XP. However, they do lose durability when left click hitting enemies! Staves and weapons are often repaired using similar materials used to craft them (Copper ingots repair the **Obliterator** etc) One of my biggest inspirations for this project were games like Terraria, which have a massive variety of cool weapons and magic staves, each with their own unique powers. Crafting these powerful weapons is no small task. Some of them require expensive materials, but in turn are incredibly powerful in certain situations! Performance and Balance are at the heart of this datapack. This datapack **does not modify the tick function at all!** Additionally, lots of care and attention has been taken to make sure swords, axes, bows, crossbows, tridents and maces are equally powerful to these weapons and still completely viable. Due to changes in how tipped arrows work, it currently seems impossible (or just really difficult and janky) to give the Obliterator and Ancient Legion Bow special arrows. Instead, they now use regular arrows for the time being, but instead have cooldowns to make sure bows and crossbows remain viable. All models were also created by me. # Legendary Weapons: **Wither Scythe:** This terrifying reaper of souls is expensive to craft, but is a quick and powerful melee weapon that can cut down any foe. Right clicking unleashes the wither's deadly power to apply the Wither effect to all nearby creatures at the cost of some health. **Enderblade:** This unstable Katana is quick, powerful and mysterious. Right clicking allows the user to slice forward through space and time, teleporting in the direction they look and slicing through anything in their way. **Phantom Rapier:** This ghostly piercing weapon is relatively weak, but compensates for this by imbuing the wielder with a ghostly essence. The wielder becomes lighter, being able to jump higher, run faster and with lower gravity. However, as the user abandons their physical form, their armour is halved as a result, and knockback increased. **Starving Blade:** This twisted sword of the deep dark hungers for the souls of the fallen. It's slow and weak when dormant. But when the user feeds it XP, it awakens and imbues the user with the terrifying power of an angry Warden, allowing them to chase down and slaughter foes. **Warden's Pick:** This giant sculk war pick contains the colossal power of a Warden. It's extremely slow but hits incredibly hard. The user also becomes an unstoppable giant. It's also technically a Netherite pickaxe! **Crystal Resonator:** This giant crystal tuning fork is also a deadly weapon. The wielder of this instrument can resonate to clearly see the surrounding environment and all nearby enemies. It also applies the same effect to the nearest player! **Ender Gauntlet:** This giant hunk of supercharged obsidian will send anyone who dares challenge you flying! **Solais:** This legendary sword uses the radiance of the nether star to separate the living from the dead. It excels at slaughtering undead and can a
