I know this might be the 234th merling datapack but it is what it is. :P * Coral Merling * Octopus Merling * Phrouretes Merling (Guardian Merling) * Pufferfish Merling * Shark Merling The pack also has an MIT license, this README file, an icon and some misc debug functions. !(https://cdn.modrinth.com/data/9bUHNrxp/images/38d744d628c164232f479927b103eecb32342d99.png) ## Coral Merling 🟠🟠 Species of carnivorous merling with brightly coloured scales, usually lurk in shallow, warm coral reefs. ### Gills You can breathe underwater, but not on land. ### Aqua Affinity You may break blocks underwater as others do on land. ### Like Water When underwater, you do not sink to the ground unless you want to. ### Carnivore Your diet is restricted to meat, you can't eat vegetables. ### Wet Eyes Your eyes can see under water, but only in shallow waters, as the pressure damages your eyes. ### Svelte Body You have a gracefully slim and agile body, but you have much less health. ### Swift Swimmer Your sleek tail can propel you at high speeds through the water. ### Splash! You can boost yourself to get away from enemies faster. ### Fish In a Bucket You can hop onto other people's head. ### Fish Stix Raw fish saturates you more than it would others. ### Pointy Teeth Your pointy teeth help you hunt fish faster. ### Flip Flop You don't have legs and are wet all the time so you're slippery and can't move fast outside of water. ## Octopus Merling 🔴🔴🔴 Species of eight legged merling, they are highly agile and can produce ink. ### Aqua Affinity You may break blocks underwater as others do on land. ### Like Water When underwater, you do not sink to the ground unless you want to. ### Wet Eyes Your vision underwater is perfect. ### Dual Breather You can stay on land a lot longer than other sea creatures. ### Ink Blast You can blast ink to boost yourself in water. ### Creature of Many Arms You have 8 limbs growing from your waist that aid in grabbing, swimming and walking, but it makes it impossible to use shields or wear pants and boots. ### Squishy Due to having no bones, you are squishy and take less fall damage, but you have less health and are smaller. ## Phrouretes Merling 🟠🟠 An ancient species of merling, phrouretai protect the elders of their hives in the fallen cities of the sea. *(basically Guardian merling with a classy name)* ### Gills You can breathe underwater, but not on land. ### Wet Eyes Your vision underwater is perfect. ### Aqua Affinity You may break blocks underwater as others do on land. ### Like Water When underwater, you do not sink to the ground unless you want to. ### Cold Blood You don't handle heat well, thus you take extra fire damage. ### Kinship Your fellow phrouretai don't attack you. ### Slowed Escape You can give mining fatigue on command to those around you. ### Prickly Out of your skin protrude many sharp prismarine spikes. ### Fins Since you have a strong tailfin from the waist down, you can swim well. ### Flip Flop You don't have legs and are wet all the time so you're slippery and can't move fast outside of water. ## Pufferfish Merling 🔴🔴🔴 Species of merling, covered in spikes with deadly poison, inflates when attacked. ### Gills You can breathe underwater, but not on land. ### Wet Eyes Your vision underwater is perfect. ### Aqua Affinity You may break blocks underwater as others do on land. ### Like Water When underwater, you do not sink to the ground unless you want to. ### Vegetarian You can't digest any meat. ### Fins Since you are a pufferfish from the waist down, you can swim well. ### Small Boi You don't have much health. ### Puffy Boi You are a little spiky ball of fish, so cute! ### Toadies' Touch You evolved little toxic spikes all over you body, so you you poison you foes. ### No Friendly Fire Since your body produces poison, you are immune to toxins. ### Flip Flop You don't have legs and are wet all the time so you're slippery and can't move fast outside of water. ## Shark Merling 🔴🔴🔴 Species of merling, adapted to a hunter's lifestyle, can smell blood from miles away. *(sharks are so huggable looking🦈)* ### Gills You
