# Delayed Despawn Datapack for Minecraft Java Edition ## 📖 About Have you ever gone caving and got blown up by a Creeper? Did you lose all your items despite claiming you arrived within 5 minutes? This Datapack aims to fix that worry! ## 📝 Features This small lightweight datapack changes the normal 5-minute despawn timer to 10 minutes so you can retrieve your items easier. _A update future will include a toggleable ability to make items that are close to despawning glow and/or emit a sound to help you find them easier, however this will not be included in Version 1.0.0_ _Be sure to keep an eye on the changelog to see when these features get added!_ ## ❗Important Information This Datapack will cause extra lag on servers as it applies the 10-minute despawn timer to **all** items, not only ones dropped by players on death. ## 📂 Installation Be sure to install this Datapack to the right location or it will not work properly.
