# **CRAFTLE** ~ A Wordle-inspired MC Mini-Game !(https://cdn.modrinth.com/data/cached_images/d18f13422e028037abbb6cae18240d4f81e5e5b4.png) This is a mini-game about Minecraft crafting recipes, similar to Wordle. It features: * Wordle-like rules * Competitive elements between two teams * A plug-and-play vanilla datapack experience ## Installation & How to Play It is recommended to play this datapack using version 1.21.11. All you need to do is: 1. Create a new world. 2. Open the save folder and locate the newly created world. 3. Place the `craftle-datapack` into the world's `datapacks` folder. 4. Return to the game and type `/reload` (requires cheats enabled) or exit and re-enter the world. 5. Install the provided resource pack (**in 3.0.0 later, you must install it**). 6. A game selection menu should automatically pop up in your chat bar. Press `T` to open the chat and click with your mouse. ## Rules Compared to Wordle's format of small characters and a large dictionary, Minecraft crafting recipes undoubtedly have more elements but fewer total recipes. Therefore, we have modified the game rules, which also reduced our workload in writing the datapack a bit. ~It's not because we're lazy~ The following are rules similar to Wordle: * If a submitted item exists in the selected recipe and is in the correct position, it will output a green square. * If a submitted item exists in the selected recipe but is in the wrong position, it will output a yellow square. * If a submitted item does not exist in the selected recipe, it will output a red square. The following are rules different from Wordle: * A yellow square only indicates that the item exists and is in the wrong position; it does not indicate the quantity of that item. * This game does not restrict player submissions; players can submit non-recipe items, but the answer will always be a valid crafting recipe. * There is no limit on the number of submission attempts, but the same team shares a cooldown—currently **two minutes**. * All players collect items in Survival mode and make guesses. The first team to guess the correct recipe wins. ## Reporting Issues If you encounter any problems while playing, feel free to report them to me via an issue. ## Technical Details * This datapack was written for version 1.21.11 and should support 1.21.X versions (this_hacker tells you it might not, because we added some very new recipes hehe). * This datapack uses function macros for judgment ~the code is very janky, so it's not recommended for reference~. * It includes an answer list storage. You can add new crafting recipes (or just random items, even items from other mods!) according to your needs.
