Blue Depths transforms Minecraft’s oceans AND rivers into a living, breathing ecosystem, providing new creatures that Minecraft normally wouldn’t add.

Blue Depths is meant for players who want a deeper ocean experience without sacrificing performance. Players can conquer these new creatures and even raise them as their own, experiencing their life cycles.

Along with that, the datapack also adds a new difficult boss to the game, The Nameless Depth, a being lost to time and forgotten by the ocean.

An in-game guidebook can be crafted using a book and salmon, and provides a much better explanation of all the features.

# What Blue Depths adds:

Blue Depths adds a total of 12 new mobs to Minecraft. There are 3 new ocean/salt water creatures, 7 new river/fresh water creatures, and one that spawns in both water types. Along with that, certain creatures (like the box jellyfish) have different variants and quite a few have varying life cycles for when players wish to raise their own creatures.

### Oceans: - Great White Sharks - A massive ocean predator, the king of the sea. Will mostly stay neutral unless provoked, but there is a stalker variant that will attack players. Can be raised from a pup to a full adult! - Tuna - The chicken of the sea, provides a sustainable source of food for the player. It can be farmed via growing it through it's various life cycles - Orca - Some could say these are the real "kings of the sea." Either way, orcas are neutral mobs unless provoked. New features are planned for these guys for the future. - Box Jellyfish - Environmental hazards! Be careful when approaching these guys, getting too close will give you a nasty sting. There are multiple colored variants, including a very rare pink one. You can raise box jellies from polyp to fully mature medusa!

### Rivers - Bluegill - Adds more variety and a new food source for players. The bluegigi can also be scooped up as a pet using a water bucket - Largemouth Bass - Adds more ambience to rivers and more food options for the player. Like the bluegill, it can also be scooped up in a bucket. - Archerfish - These little guys may look like any ordinary fish, but if caught off guard, they can spit at you, knocking you back. They will also kill any insect creatures nearby using it's spit attack - Sturgeon - A rare river fish that can drop sturgeon scute, which can be used to make the Armorbite, a powerful item that gives resistance to the player - Electric Eels - Be careful when approaching these guys. If they receive damage they will emit an electric pulse damaging both you and any other mob nearby. They can be used to craft the Electrode, which can be used to power redstone - Crocodiles - Dangerous predators that will actively hunt the player. Don't underestimate them just because of their slow movement, they can lunge at you and deal devastating damage. If killed, they can drop material to craft Crocodile Armor.
