Main features

Roaming Captains makes Mordor feel more alive by allowing real Nemesis captains from your current region to dynamically appear and roam the open world while you explore.

The mod pulls the actual captains from your Army roster, preserving their identity, level, traits, allegiance, relationships, and other existing characteristics. Captains currently engaged in a mission are always excluded from spawning. The goal is to make the world feel less predictable and make your Nemesis roster feel like it actually exists outside the Army screen.

Population Limits

Enemy and allied roaming populations are configured separately.

For example:

MaxEnemyCaptains = 5

MaxFriendlyCaptains = 5

means up to 10 counted roaming captains total can exist at once.

Bodyguards accompanying a roaming Warchief do NOT consume additional population slots. A Warchief and his accompanying bodyguards count as one configured Warchief slot. A Warchief with assigned ally bodyguards will not spawn the ally captains to avoid instant clash between them upon spawning.

Independent roaming bodyguards still count normally.

Configuration

The included

Set an allegiance population limit to

0if you want to disable roaming captains for that side.

Blade of Galadriel and Desolation of Mordor are currently untested and not officially supported.
