XM177E2 Ogre Version

Be ready to download and install Uncle Jimbo’s gunpack again if you just want to try out the mod or didn’t like it.

Install with Snakebite, press yes to overwrite data.

Tested only with 1k texture pack

The mod will do the following:

1 - Alternate development flow for the XM177E2 and M16

The new development flow  takes inspiration from Peace Walker, Snake will start with a standard issue M16A1 at Grade 1, At Grade 3 of the development tree, the M16A1 goes through a carbine conversion to the XM177E2, as named in the mod, Grade 4 and 5 are attachments to the carbine inspired by Ground Zeroes and the Gordon Carbine from Black Hawk Down. 

2 - Suppressors will sit over the barrel for select barrel models

The mod edits the connect points of select barrels (E2 Carbine Barrel, A1 Rifle Barrel, Heatshield Rifle Barrel) so the suppressors sit over barrel inspired by Peace Walker.

3 - Adds the Ground Zeroes Suppressor and Flashlight

The slightly shorter supressor from GZ has durability of 30 shots, despite durability being displayed as low in game.

The flashlight will only work with the E2 barrel.

4 - Adds the option to use Grenade Launchers with the E2 Barrel

The grenade launcher is now usable with the E2 barrel but there are positioning and clipping issues.

5 - Adds a Laser Sight for the Grade 7 M16/M203

There's also an optic sight, the Laser and the Optic Sight can be interpreted as bleeding edge R&D from Diamond Dogs.

Now that you have know what the mod does, there are some downsides to the mod you must be aware of:

1 - If you uninstall the mod, your Uncle Jimbo's gunpack installation will be corrupted

I already said this in the beginning of the description, but I reiterate it again because I don't want to hear any complaints related to it. Make sure you download Uncle Jimbo's gunpack again before installing this mod if you want to just try the mod out.

2 - Less Muzzle options

Changing the connect points has removed some muzzle options available for the barrels, if you use Zeta's unlocked Weapon Customization option you will notice this, this is because the game treats the muzzle option and suppressors connect points as the same.
