Version 0. 4 is now available. FOB camouflages were updated. Some minor text changes were also added.
Originally based on mgs5tppfan's Camouflage Index Mod Collection and further expanded with help from tinmantex, unknown123 and CantStopTheBipBop. This mod boosts the effectiveness of various camouflage patterns to better fit the environment they represent without being too "cheaty".
In vanilla, camouflages only provide a 50% camouflage index boost in their associated type of area and 0% everywhere else. This mod changes that so that most patterns provide different bonuses from 5% to 100%, over more types of areas, including those you may not have considered before such as wood, cloth and vinyl type surfaces.
I recommend trying this mod with Infinite Heaven and increasing soldier sight radius to 200%.
INSTALLATIONUse SnakeBite 0. 8. 5. You may need to disable the compatibility check, but the mod works fine and only overwrites a single Lua file (and a single lng2 file in the 0. 2 test release). It should not conflict with a majority of mods.
WARNING: Not recommended on FOB.
The reason for this is because in the event that one person has the mod and the other person does not, unexpected behavior is likely. FOB Events should be safe, but I do not recommend using this mod on player-owned FOBs.This mod for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain overhauls the camouflage system, making all camouflages more effective and viable across multiple terrain types.
