Whenever you're injured (for at least a third of total health), select the item and press the Action Button ( ? ) to fully restore health. The bait bottle itself can still be used exactly as before.

This mod was inspired by:
-
[]AyyKyu's "No Health Regeneration", as it made me consider the fact that this game doesn't have rations nor any manual/voluntary way of healing as older games had, which of course has to do with its generous HP regen.
[]Bolmin's "First Aid Revamp", as it made me notice I was not the first one that had this exact same idea (actually uncanny lol), and more importantly I realized it was possible and gave me somewhere to start from.
[]MohtalGear's "Magazine Osp add-on", as it gave me an idea of what new functionality for an item would look like, both game-wise and on code.
Things to know:
[*]When forcing injury, I call a HighSpeedCamera.RequestEvent with a worldTimeRate of 1 to prevent slowmo, and a continueTime of 120 (2 minutes). This means if you select the item and wait 2 full minutes until healing or switching it back, you'll be stuck in slowmo unti
This mod converts the bait bottle item into a med spray, providing a new healing option. It's a simple gameplay tweak for players who want more healing tools. With 238 endorsements and recent updates, it's a niche but functional addition.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Turns a boring item into something useful (238 endorsements).
- Lightweight mod that doesn't overhaul the game.
- Recently updated (March 2025) so likely works with current version.
⚠️ Cons
- Only affects one item — if you don't use bait bottles, this is pointless.
- Small mod with limited community feedback (238 endorsements).
For players who want a quick, simple way to add more healing options without major changes. If you're looking for a comprehensive medical overhaul, this isn't it. Skip if you never touch bait bottles.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Make sure you have the bait bottle in your inventory to use the med spray.
- Check if the mod requires a specific game version — if so, update accordingly.
- If you're using other mods that alter bait bottles, load this one after them.
