📋 About This Mod
The bastards are using stealth camo to ambush you!
Don't worry, I've got this. It's the same stealth technology as the Ninja. FOXHOUND was gonna use them, but with this I'll be fine.
I'm fucking invisible!
So, there's this old cheat table function. Disables the game's iteration for enemy vision cones, essentially making you undetectable unless you bump right into someone or attack them. Very cool, but not exactly balanced for gameplay. However, as it turns out, every object in Metal Gear Rising has a simple function to apply the stealth camouflage invisibility visual effect... so give it a couple hours of coding, and we can attach that function to the AR input and your fuel cells! Feel less guilty, because you have limited time to get past the enemy invisibly. Works on both Raiden and Wolf, but cannot be activated in Alert Mode and has no effect on bosses (yes, even Khamsin, his code is special).
The included pl000f and pl1500 files are technically optional. They get rid of the glow effect that triggers on Zandatsu/FC refill, because that effect looks really obnoxious if applied on top of the stealth camo effect.
A compact gameplay mod that turns the 'Stealth cheat' into a passive ability, draining FC while active and disabling on alert. With only 2 endorsements and 141 downloads, it's a niche tweak for players who want a more balanced stealth experience.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Tiny mod, easy to understand and install
- Adds a resource cost to stealth, making it more balanced
- Disables on alert, so you can't cheese your way out of combat
⚠️ Cons
- Only 2 endorsements — barely anyone has tried it
- Last updated October 2025 — might not work with future game patches
For players who want a more balanced stealth mechanic without removing the cheat entirely. Skip if you prefer the original unrestricted stealth or want a more feature-rich overhaul.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Make sure you have enough FC before activating stealth, or you'll be caught off guard.
- Test in a low-stakes area first to see how the drain rate feels.
- If you're using other gameplay mods, check for conflicts with stealth mechanics.
