Maxor Cutscenes

Old ass project I started back in 2024 that originally was just cut snippets corresponding to the original cutscenes. Got like halfway through, shoved it away along with a bunch of other unfinished projects, and let it gather dust overtime. Fast-forward to now, I got reminded of this by Elia04Ita on discord amidst learning compositing in Davinci Resolve. Decided to take the opportunity to replicate some of Maxor's effects on gameplay portions as a challenge, and apply them to cutscene portions instead (some of them are left as is to let the dialogue flow better).

Yeah I know I'm like 4 years late to ts, just pretend it's still 2022 when jetstream sam cutting off footage of an anime girl was the golden standard of shitposting.

Some cutscenes that weren't in his edit or were combined (such as the ending of R-07 and the Epilogue) were replaced with ones from Aura's Cutscene-less mod.

If a cutscene plays a gray screen for a split second, that one is cut out.

INSTALLATION:

• []Download the latest version of this mod[/]

• []Unzip the mod archive's contents[/]

• []Locate the "GameData" folder in your game's directory  [/]

• []Drag and drop the "events", "movies", and "ui" folders into GameData[/]

• []Enjoy[/]

  Your GameData folder should like this in the end

  COMPONENTS:

  "events" folder is needed to make the cutscenes play at 60 fps as well as removing some of the in-game BGM that plays alongside cutscenes.

  "movies" folder contains the video cutscenes themselves.

  "ui" folder fixes original cutscene captions obscuring the video by replacing them with an empty caption file.

  Known Issues:

  • []Alt-tabbing during a cutscene playing will cap it's resolution to 720p. This fixes itself the next cutscene that plays, but there's unfortunately no fix for this at the moment.[/]

  • []Some stuttering may occur.[/]
