Important Information for the future of this Mod

Sorry for the long silence.

I just got married, and the last few months have been really hectic. (Plus, my wife has forbidden me to use my PC ever since we got married.......just kidding :D)

Since there’s been a new DLC with new content (which I haven’t bought yet), the mod only works partially now. All the new weapons and mechs have no sound.

The problem with MechWarrior 5 is that I can’t “just update the sounds". To create a sound mod, you use the Wwise project (Wwise is an Audio Engine for Sound implementation in Games) from Piranha Games, which contains all the sounds provided by the developer, including all settings (EQ, mixer, sound events, etc.). You then customize this by replacing sounds, changing attenuation curves, adjusting the EQ, and so on.

Unfortunately, with every new DLC update, this project gets reset (because the developer has expanded their Wwise project). The updated project then appears in the MechWarrior Editor, and all previously made changes are gone, so you have to start completely from scratch (which is also why “Sound of Succession Wars” hasn’t been updated yet).

I’m definitely willing to update the mod to the latest version, but right now I just don’t have the time for it. Lately, I’ve just been playing various games or spending a lot of time outdoors. (I know, I know, “Eww, he’s outside!” :D)

I might get back to it in the next few weeks, but I can’t say exactly when the next update will be right now.

I don’t want to whine or anything here; I just wanted to explain in detail that, unfortunately, it’s not easy to update the mod quickly.

- fixed Clan_LRM´s had no sounds

- removed Pitch Randomizer for C_UAC´s and C_LBX´s to avoid phasing when multiple Weapons are shot at the same time

- reworked Clan_LBX20´s

- set Leopard Ambience Sounds to "Stream" to probably prevent it from cut out

- slightly increased the volume for all Large Laser Type´s

- added a new Common Clan_LRM sound, that may fit to all types
