For Friends & Family

You download this: Portrait Pools Corrected . This is "our"  base layer to have all portraits turned to photorealistic people.

Next you get this: Portrait and HUD distortion effect . Take Portrait Effect Standard, it makes the portraits look less static.

Then you download this mod. Unpack all three into MechWarrior 5 Mercenaries\MW5Mercs\Mods

Start game, go to mods, check all three, restart.

It's okay that Humans of Battletech conflicts with PPC, as we overwriting their stuff.

There is some priority number attached to every mod & PPC uses a very high one, so I had to take an even higher...

His has mission files etc. included (IDK why), but HoB does not. We are just simple, basic, scarred & dirty.

I finally found MWO5 and like this mod: Portrait Pools Corrected. But I did not like the 90s design choices. So this is an (ongoing) redesign, based on 1980s Science Fiction combined with Battletech Lore & cultural references.

And in case you did not realize: Yes, it's all AI. I am an AI fan, as back in the days (look up my modder profile here) I did such stuff without AI. Used right, AI is a great tool.

This mod will work with any other replacer&/mod as well, but I am focused on the combo PPC & HoB.

Just download this (or both; or any portrait replacer of your choice) and copy + paste it into your game folder at:

MechWarrior 5 Mercenaries\MW5Mercs\Mods

On Steam f.e. it is:

Steam\SteamApps\common\MechWarrior 5 Mercenaries\MW5Mercs\Mods

Start the game: Check the mods - It's okay if it shows an overwrite - restart the game and all changes will take effect.

I heard there are mods that let you alter the hud.  This I can not influence. Just in case I go with 512x512 (all larger are a glitch).

This mod contains battlemech personal that goes to the battlefield, the gym & the library.^^
