Recommended to enable the "Mechs use tank controls" and the "Vehicle direction indicator" options in the settings when piloting this mech. It's not required due to the 360 degree turrets, but it helps more feel like a ship on legs if you do. The Dauntless was a test to see if the strength of a battleship could be shoved into a smaller frame in an attempt to bypass the limitations of speed and weapon coverage. Though the Dauntless is roughly the same size as a frigate landship, the heavy armor it possesses slows the walking frame down a fair bit.
