📋 About This Mod
My submod for Prophesy of Pendor 3. 61
Main changes (only main changes, can't list every change)
1) Made zero value for ironflesh, powerstrike, powerthrow, powerdraw, shield for almost all of troops except lords and most powerfull magical creatures - so i can more easy calculate weapons and armors parameters.
2) Level up recruitable npc's - they very powerfull now, also tried give them best equipment, depends from they stories at Pendor's wiki.
3) Changed equipment for almost all of troops (except lords) - gave them better helms, armors and weapons with respect to they nations or tribes. Removed spears and lances from almost of all mounted troops.
4) Removed junk from shops such as knives, hammers, simple armors, simple helms, simple arrows, weak horses, etc
5) Increased defense rating: body for armors, head for helms; lower defense for legs armor. Noldor Rune plate can't be penetrated at body part by most non magical weapons. Tried make defense rating for helms depends from they look :open helms - lower defense, closed helms much more defense. Tried to divide armors in 3 main category for body damage resistance: 50-75, 75-85, 85-100, also tied to balance weapons in similar way - needs testing.
6) Decrease damage and speed for crossbows, they must not kill knight in elite plate armor with one-two shots in body.
7) General changes for Noldor: Increase speed for weapons and horses; increase body damage resistance for body armors; decrease armor for horses.
9) Removed difficulty req from shields, bows and throwing weapons.
10) Tried to made Pendor's troops better than other's - needs testing
11) Tried to made elite troops more equal one another - needs testing
12) Tried to made female troops more fast and weapon's handling better - needs testing
A submod for Prophesy of Pendor 3.61 that addresses common frustrations: better weapons, armor, and horses; improved siege AI; stronger recruitable NPCs; and tougher armor. With 17 endorsements and last updated in 2013, it's a niche fix for players seeking a more balanced late-game experience.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Directly targets four common pain points in Pendor: gear grind, siege AI, weak NPCs, and armor.
- Small but dedicated following (17 endorsements) suggests it works for those who use it.
- Lightweight submod—no major overhaul, just quality-of-life fixes.
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in 2013—likely incompatible with newer versions of Prophesy of Pendor.
- Limited community feedback (17 endorsements) means you're on your own if issues arise.
For Prophesy of Pendor veterans who are frustrated by the grind for decent gear and the silly siege behavior. If you want a more streamlined late-game without overhauling the whole mod, this is worth a shot. Skip if you're playing a newer Pendor version or prefer a more comprehensive submod.
