Honour and Glory

In this difficult time for our nation, a team of developers from Ukraine is releasing an updated version of the Honour & Glory mod for the game Mount & Blade Warband.

The events of the modification take place in Eastern Europe in the 16th century and include the events of the Livonian War, the emergence of the Cossacks, and the Austro-Ottoman confrontation in the recently divided Hungary. Players will be able to immerse themselves in the military and political struggles of the past, trying their hand as an enterprising merchant, a brave mercenary, an honest craftsman, or a dangerous bandit.

The modification has 12 factions in total: Zaporozhian Cossacks, Kingdom of Poland, Grand Duchy of Lithuania, Muscovite Tsardom, Moldavian Principality, Livonian Confederation, Duchy of Prussia, Swedish Duchy of Finland, Holy Roman Empire, Ottoman Empire, Crimean Khanate and Hungarian Kingdom.

Context:

The year 1558. A decade earlier, Muscovite Grand Prince Ivan the Terrible had assumed the title of Tsar of Russia. During the following years of his reign, he conquered Kazan and Astrakhan. The Muscovite Tsardom was isolated from European trade and politics and aspired to gain access to the Baltic Sea. This prompted the Tsar to declare war on the Livonian Confederation, which was a fragmented alliance of Livonian knights, four bishoprics, and trading cities, each pursuing its own interests. Meanwhile, the Crimean Khanate from the south carries devastating raids on the Christian population, killing and taking away captive thousands of people annually. The Ruthenian petty nobility managed to fortify the island of Tomakivka on the Dnipro river beyond the rapids and started organizing a Cossack army against the Crimean Khanate and Turks. Lithuania is going trough a political decay and gradually falls under the influence of Poland. The Kingdom of Hungary, once united, is divided between the Austrians and the Ottomans, but the young King John Sigismund Szapolyai still retains fragile power in Transylvania. Moldova is trying to survive among its powerful neighbors, and Sweden, which has recently gained independence, is ready to conquer new territories in the east...Features:
