Gold Nimbus

This is a reworked native module with over 3 years of play testing, to completion, and only uses native assets. This mod does not require

script extender.  This mod was built on GOG version 1. 174. (the latest version as of 09-2025)

Terrain now matters. Factions with no cavalry have to use high ground or valleys to constrain cavalry and close in on ranged troops. Factions with powerful cavalry need to stay out of the hills, be careful about troop separation and avoid charging into tightly packed melee troops.

Mercenaries are stronger than faction troops, but also a lot more expensive. All caravans contain a few mercenaries.

Simplified, effective troop trees with balanced advantages and disadvantages for each faction.

Pikemen and spearmen have been removed. They have no script attached to hit

targets properly, if at all.

Towns and armies now replenish troops much slower.

Archery has increased accuracy, speed, distance and quiver size.

Shields have increased health and armor.

Two-handed weapons are faster and do more damage.

Faction troops are uniquely uniformed for easy recognition.

Item quality is removed for economic and game play simplification.
