Why not find out with this small mini-mod (requires Warband 1. 143 or later) which makes all enemies be-headable in most battle scenes (excluding arena and tournament matches, and a few other minor quest fights) and also adds dismemberable troops to looter, bandit, and peasant parties. Chop off their arms, chop of their hands, they won't mind. It is your duty as a warrior.
It may take a few tries to take someone's head off their shoulders, but the satisfaction of a job well done cannot be underestimated.
INSTALLATION:
Remember, your version of Warband must be patched to at least 1. 143.
Download the .zip file.
Open it and extract the module folder within.
Place the module folder in your Warband/Modules directory.
Choose the DecapitateandDismember option on the Warband start-up screen.
