INSTALLATION

Read the installation guide for your language before changing any game files.

The default Max Payne 3 installation folder used by the guides is:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Max Payne 3\Max Payne 3

Your location may be different if Steam is installed in another folder or library.

Back up every original file before replacing or modifying it. Install and test one component at a time. Game updates, file verification, or reinstalling the game may overwrite modified files.

OpenIV editing requires exporting the selected file, editing it without changing its filename or format, and then importing or replacing the original archive entry. Full instructions are provided in the included guides.

ACCOUNT RISK AND USER RESPONSIBILITY

Using modified files or gameplay tools may violate Rockstar Games rules or the rules of individual servers and communities. Their use could result in account restrictions, suspension, bans, lost progress, or other action.

Users are responsible for how they install and use these files and for any consequences. No guarantee is made that the pack will remain compatible with future game or service updates.

EXECUTABLE NOTICE

This package contains MP3_Launcher.exe and OpenIVSetup.exe. Security software may inspect or warn about executable files. Users should scan downloaded files with their preferred security software and decide independently whether to run them. Do not disable security protections simply to run a file.
