AS Vulcan

"Assault Rifle" “The Kalashnikov, reimagined the Ukrainian way.” AS Vulcan The AS Vulcan, also known as the Vulcan-M or Malyuk, is a Ukrainian bullpup assault rifle developed by Interproinvest (IPI) from the Kalashnikov rifle design. Moving the action and magazine behind the pistol grip significantly reduces the overall length while retaining a full-length rifle barrel. The rifle retains the characteristic gas-operated action and rotating bolt of the Kalashnikov family, but places the mechanism inside a modern bullpup chassis. Key features include: — bullpup configuration — gas-operated action — rotating bolt — chamberings for 5. 45×39mm, 7. 62×39mm and 5. 56×45mm NATO — AK-pattern or STANAG magazines depending on the variant — Picatinny rail for optical and electronic sights — compact overall dimensions with an approximately 415mm barrel — approximately 3. 8kg unloaded in the basic configuration The defining feature of the Vulcan is its bullpup layout: the action and magazine are positioned behind the trigger, allowing the rifle to remain relatively compact without requiring an excessively short barrel. Historical Background The history of the Vulcan traces back to Ukrainian efforts to develop a bullpup rifle based on the AK platform. According to information associated with the development, work on what became the Malyuk began around 2005, drawing on experience gained from an earlier Ukrainian bullpup project known as the Vepr. The design was subsequently developed by Interproinvest. The rifle later became known under the names Vulcan, Vulcan-M, and Malyuk. Ukrainian sources describe it as a deep modernization of the Kalashnikov rifle redesigned around a bullpup configuration. The Vulcan/Malyuk entered Ukrainian service and has been associated with specialized units, including Ukrainian Special Operations Forces. It gained considerable international attention during the Russo-Ukrainian War. If there are any bugs or malfunctions, write in the comments. I will try to fi
