Diemaco C7 CT

"Semi-Automatic Marksman Rifle" “The C7 refined into a precision instrument.” Diemaco C7CT The Diemaco C7CT (Custom Tactical) is a Canadian precision semi-automatic rifle developed by Diemaco from the standard C7 service rifle. Unlike the regular C7, the C7CT was designed specifically for the marksman role, providing substantially greater accuracy and consistency at extended ranges. Although it retains the basic architecture of the C7 family, the C7CT incorporates specialized components intended to maximize precision. Key features include: — 5. 56×45mm NATO chambering — Direct Impingement gas system — rotating bolt — heavy 508mm free-floating barrel — two-stage match trigger — weighted stock for improved balance — distinctive tubular handguard — mounting provisions for optics and accessories — detachable bipod — semi-automatic operation only The heavy free-floating barrel and match trigger provide a significant accuracy advantage over the standard C7. At the same time, retaining the C7 architecture gives the rifle excellent commonality with the Canadian service rifle family. Historical Background The C7CT was developed as a specialized precision derivative of Canada's C7 rifle family. The CT designation stands for “Custom Tactical.” Rather than being another standard infantry variant, it was designed as a specialized marksman rifle. The C7CT was intended for precision engagement and could serve in a designated marksman role as well as a weapon for sniper-team observers. Its use within the Canadian Armed Forces was limited, with sources describing it as a specialized weapon associated with sniper teams and other specialist roles. Importantly, the C7CT is not simply a standard C7 fitted with a scope. It is a purpose-built precision configuration featuring a heavy free-floating barrel, match trigger, modified balance, and specialized handguard.
