Its compact dimensions made it well suited for vehicle crews, paratroopers, and close-quarters combat. Historical Background Development of the TZ-45 began in 1944 by designers Toni Zanarotti and Giuseppe Tosi, whose surnames gave the weapon its designation. The submachine gun was created during the period of the Italian Social Republic, when the country's arms industry required weapons that were both simple and economical to produce. Because of the deteriorating wartime situation and the imminent end of the conflict, production remained limited. Following Germany's surrender, surviving TZ-45s continued to serve with Italian police and other security organizations, while some were also exported abroad. Today, the TZ-45 is regarded as a rare collector's firearm and an important example of late-war Italian small arms development. If there are any bugs or malfunctions, write in the comments.
