MosqueFAL M968 The Mosquefal M968 is a Brazilian bolt-action rifle developed by IMBEL. It combines the proven Mauser action with features borrowed from the FN FAL, Brazil's standard service rifle during the Cold War. The rifle was modernized with several FAL-inspired features, including: — FAL-compatible ammunition — FAL-style flash hider — improved aperture sights — reduced weight and shorter barrel compared to earlier Brazilian Mauser rifles The name "Mosquefal" is a combination of the Portuguese word mosquetão (carbine/rifle) and FAL, reflecting its hybrid nature. was introduced in the late 1960s after Brazil adopted the FN FAL and the 7. 62×51mm NATO cartridge. Rather than replacing all older Mauser rifles immediately, Brazil converted thousands of existing rifles to the new caliber and updated them with features similar to the FAL. This reduced costs while helping train soldiers on sights, ammunition, and handling procedures compatible with the new service rifle. If there are any bugs or malfunctions, write in the comments.
