"Machine pistol" “Small size, full-auto attitude.” CZ Scorpion vz. 61 The Škorpion vz. 61 is a compact machine pistol developed in Czechoslovakia during the late 1950s. Chambered in . 32 ACP (7. 65×17mm Browning), the vz. 61 operates using a blowback system enhanced by a rate-reducing mechanism, helping improve controllability during automatic fire. The weapon features: — compact dimensions — folding wire stock — detachable box magazines — low recoil and controllable burst fire Despite its small caliber, the Škorpion offered a high rate of fire and excellent portability, making it effective for close-range engagements. Its distinctive silhouette and compact design made it one of the most recognizable machine pistols of the Cold War. Historical Background The Škorpion vz. 61 entered service in 1961 with the armed forces and security services of Czechoslovakia. Unlike traditional submachine guns, it was designed to bridge the gap between a service pistol and a compact automatic weapon. The weapon was exported to numerous countries and saw service across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia. Several variants were later developed for different calibers, including 9×18mm Makarov, 9×17mm Short (. 380 ACP), and 9×19mm Parabellum. Although eventually replaced by more modern designs, the vz. 61 remains one of the most iconic machine pistols ever produced. If there are any bugs or malfunctions, write in the comments.
