M870 Marine Magnum

"Pump-action shotgun" “Built to fight rust as much as the enemy.” Remington 870 Marine Magnum The Remington 870 Marine Magnum is a corrosion-resistant variant of the iconic Remington 870, produced by Remington Arms. It is specifically designed for use in harsh environments, particularly maritime conditions. Chambered in 12 gauge, the Marine Magnum operates using a pump-action system, known for its reliability and ability to function with a wide range of ammunition types. What sets this model apart is its nickel-plated finish, which provides excellent resistance against rust and corrosion caused by moisture, saltwater, and extreme weather. This makes it especially suitable for naval units, marine patrols, and coastal operations. The shotgun retains the proven design features of the Remington 870 platform, including dual action bars for smooth cycling and a rugged steel receiver. It is commonly used for close-quarters defense, security, and tactical roles where durability is critical. Historical Background The Remington 870 Marine Magnum is part of the long-standing Remington 870 family, first introduced in 1950 by Remington Arms. The Marine Magnum variant was developed later to meet the needs of users operating in high-humidity and maritime environments, where standard firearms were prone to corrosion. Over time, the Remington 870 platform became one of the most successful pump-action shotguns in history, widely adopted by military forces, law enforcement, and civilians. The Marine Magnum stands out as a specialized adaptation, offering enhanced durability without sacrificing the reliability of the original design.
